The cost of higher education

Dr Jill Johnes and Professor Geraint Johnes (both from the Department of Economics) in collaboration with researchers from Aston University have been awarded £42,000 from the Department for Education and Skills to continue their research into the cost structure of the Higher Education (HE) sector.
Their research will examine how costs vary between Higher Education Institutions, whether certain factors (such as student-staff ratios) effect these costs and provides implications for the future expansion of the HE sector.
