Didier Soopramanien of the Department of Management Science and Jonathan Elms of the Department of Marketing, together with their co-authors, were awarded the Elsevier Prize for the most innovative paper at the 13th EIRASS Conference on Recent Advances in Retailing and Consumer Services Science, held in Budapest in July.
The title of their paper is "Local geographies and online grocery shopping retail channel choice: impacts at the household level". The paper describes householders' engagement with Internet technologies when they are offered the choice to order groceries online, given the retail store provisions available locally.
