LCMC and Lancaster Confucius Institute hold successful seminar in London

Lancaster China Management Centre & Lancaster University Confucius Institute organized a successful seminar in London on 4 April 2012 in collaboration with Department of Financial & Management Studies, SOAS, University of London and China Britain Business Council. The seminar entitled Internationalisation of the Renminbi: Why China’s haste? Was delivered by Dr Guonan Ma, Senior Economist, the Bank for International Settlements.

The China-UK Entrepreneurship Competition 2012 is now open for entry. The competition aims to encourage new business ventures between China and the UK and is intended to simulate the real-world process of entrepreneurs soliciting start-up funds from early-stage investors and venture capital firms.

Building employer partnerships in China

LUMS’ Postgraduate Careers Adviser, Ajaz Hussain and International Programmes Director, Dr Radka Newton travelled to China in March 2012 to visit and build relationships with key employers, in order to learn more about the China graduate labour market with a view to enhancing the career development services offered by LUMS for students interested in launching a career in China.

LCMC sponsors LUMS undergraduate students to attend summer school in China

Three LUMS undergraduates have been successful in securing places at Sun Yat Sen University's International Summer Programme and have each been awarded studentships of £1,000 by the Lancaster China Management Centre towards their flights and accommodation costs.
