Closing date 14 February 2010

The Department of Management Learning and Leadership is seeking a colleague who has strong research interests in the theory, development and practice of management learning and leadership. Ideally these will be relevant to work in the context of sustainability. An emphasis on creative and innovative approaches to theorising and researching is considered important.

The area of Leadership for Sustainability is an important strategic area of development for both the department and Lancaster University. The MA in Leadership for Sustainability, directed by Professor Judi Marshall, recruited its first in-take in November 2009 and is a post experience two year part-time programme with a distinctive educational approach drawing on the department's established expertise in management learning.

In addition the department is engaged in a Higher Education Innovation Fund supported project to develop a Leadership for Sustainability Learning Network (LSLN) and to develop and run courses, in partnership with Business in the Community, to prepare business leaders for Leading on Sustainability. These initiatives will include development of the theory and practice of networked learning in this context.
