The latest Financial Times ranking of European business schools confirms LUMS' status as being in the UK's Top 5, in Europe's top 20, and the world's top 30 - across a range of quality and impact measures.

The Financial Times carries a story on new research by Professor Cary Cooper about how British managers are becoming overbearing and dogmatic at the expense of productivity. "In an environment dominated by the need to retain the best talent, it is extremely disappointing to see negative styles prevail in the UK," said Professor Cooper.
Honorary degree for Infosys founder Narayana Murthy

Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) has awarded an honorary doctorate to Narayana Murthy, Chairman and Chief Mentor of Infosys Technologies Ltd. Mr Murthy received his first United Kingdom honorary degree - a Doctorate of Science - from Lancaster University Chancellor Sir Chris Bonington at a special awards ceremony in Lancaster on Wednesday 12 December.
IMPM strengthens International HIV/AIDS Alliance mission

A leading executive at International HIV/AIDS Alliance in Uganda has turned to a management development course run by Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) and five other business schools across the globe to help her organisation make even greater strides to prevent the spread of HIV and provide care and support for those affected.
