New degree focuses on managing business projects

The BSc in Project Management in an exciting new skills-based degree featuring a one-year placement in industry. Designed to meet the needs of employers, this innovative degree builds key skills for the workplace.
“The Management School has a long tradition of very strong partnerships with industry, and it was actually our industrial partners who approached us and asked us to develop this particular degree scheme,” says Ellie Hamilton, LUMS' Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies.
According to Mark Westcombe, who directs the new programme, employers said they were looking for students who can work confidently with clients, can understand what project issues are, communicate effectively through presentations and in meetings - and demonstrate strong negotiation skills.
