Over 80 Lancaster students, alumni and invited guests came together on 20th April to honour esteemed LUMS colleague Professor Peter Checkland and to celebrate the 30-year programme of action research which Peter led at Lancaster.
Lancaster MBA team wins Procter & Gamble Sustainability Challenge

A team from the Lancaster Full-time MBA has retained the P&G Sustainability Challenge trophy, beating MBA teams from Warwick, Strathclyde and Newcastle business schools.
Brewery Arts MBA Consultancy Challenge 2012

A team of Lancaster MBA students visited Kendal's Brewery Arts Centre in March 2012 at the start of their two-week Consultancy Challenge. Brewery Arts commissioned the MBA team to develop a five-year strategic marketing plan. This video feature follows the students on day one of the project, as they are briefed by the CEO of Brewery Arts, Richard Foster.

The Lancaster MBA is featured in an Independent story on job prospects for MBAs. The article describes the Lancaster MBA's three consulting projects. MBA Careers Manager Cana Witt says: "They can prove an ideal stepping stone, especially if you are intending to move to a new job function or a new industry, and can sometimes lead directly to offers of employment."

The Times: 'Market forces put award in peril'

2007 Executive MBA graduate Phillippa Williamson, who is now CEO of the Serious Fraud Office, is quoted in a story in the Times about public sector MBAs. "An MBA gave me an opportunity to acquire new leadership skills and techniques, to develop my strategic thinking, critical analysis, and get a 'bigger picture' understanding," she says.

Four students from Jordan, participants on Lancaster's Global MBA programme, visited the Lancaster campus recently. For the Jordanians it was a great opportunity to share in the Lancaster campus experience.
