In September 2012 the Lancaster Full-time MBA class gathered for a barbecue to celebrate the conclusion of their one-year programme. Chris Saunders, Director of the Full-time MBA, awarded prizes to several outstanding students.
“We've had a fantastic year,” said Chris, “The class of 2012 have just been brilliant. All of our tutors have said they've enjoyed teaching them. The students have entered so many competitions and they've had some fantastic results from the consultancy work they've done. I've got very high expectations – I think they're going to do really well for themselves.”
Husameldin Elnasri, who was nominated by his classmates for a prize for supporting his colleagues in the class said: “I'm really glad that I came to Lancaster, because it's such a calming place, and the great support that I've had from the faculty. Lancaster will always be in my heart.”
While students relaxed to a jazzband in the sunshine, Chris explained how the Lancaster MBA will go forward in the future: “From here we're looking to improve our MBA. We're going to build on what we're good at: we're looking to develop more corporate links - we've got some great chief executives coming in to talk to the students, and we want to have more of that happening. We're looking for new, innovative ideas to make our programme really distinctive.”
