A recent visit from four heads of department from Sunway University College's Business and Law Faculty has emphasised the continuing development of the relationship between Sunway - one of Malaysia's top private universities - and Lancaster University Management School.

Dr Foo Yin Fah, Dr Nagiah Ramasamy, Dr Cheah You Sum and Dr Paul Linus Andrews of Sunway University College in Malaysia
The main objective of the visit was to set up a new working relationship aimed at getting a better balance in teaching loads on Masters programmes, streamlining the moderation process on undergraduate programmes and setting up new research and staff development activities.
Through the Lancaster-Sunway partnership there are already over 700 undergraduates and 40 postgraduate students studying for LUMS degrees at Sunway.
Dr Foo said ‘The visit was an eye opener for us. Sunway University is in a transition stage to full university status and the visit helped us learn a great deal about teaching, admissions and research standards which will help us make this transition and strengthen the partnership.’
