The Management School offers a cross-disciplinary PhD in Management (in addition to its varied opportunities to undertake specialist research in each of the six departments). This programme allows you to take advantage of the School's research strengths and also to develop general research skills.
Entry requirements
For registration directly as a PhD student, you will need to hold a Master's degree with a significant research methods component. Good honours bachelors graduates can be considered for registration, but they may first need to follow the MRes or MA (by research) in the subject closest to their research topic.
Competitive University and a number of Management School studentships are available, for both UK/EU and overseas students. Studentships include the cost of the programme fees, together with a maintenance allowance.

For 2011/2012 the tuition fees for the PhD in Management are:
Full-time
UK/EU: £3,732 per annum
Overseas: £11,425 per annumPart-time
UK/EU: £1,866 per annum
Overseas: £5,713 per annum

Applicants should complete the University’s application form online. Applicants will also be prompted to upload their supporting documents online. This includes academic transcripts, references and possibly an English Language test score.
