First Year

Students take AcF 100 and Part I Economics and any third subject.  Students without A-Level mathematics or equivalent are advised to take a couse in Quantitative Methods.

Other Years

Second year: AcF 212, 213, 214 and MNGT 212.  Plus 4 other half-units that must be chosen from those offered by at least two other Mangement School departments.

Third year: Four courses to be selected from, AcF 215, 302, 305, 308, 321 and 324.  Plus 4 other half-units to be chosen from at least two other Management School departments.

Further Information

The BSc (Hons) Finance and Management Studies degree was created in response to demands from the finance profession and other employers for students with a more broad knowledge of business and management, whilst specialising in finance. This course involves study of fundamental concepts of the finance discipline, whilst at the same time developing knowledge of management and other business subjects including business economics, and logistics and supply management. Similar to the BSc (Hons) Accounting and Management Studies, subject to meeting the minimum requirements for the degree, students have access to a variety of courses at Part II (second and third years of the degree), enabling students to study in key fields of interest from business-related subjects.

Assessment

The assessment of this degree is on the basis of eight units (sixteen half-units) of assessment. See individual modules for further information.
