The BA in Organisational Studies and Sociology is a combined major degree, run by the Department of Organisation, Work and Technology and the Department of Sociology.

GCSE: English Language and Maths (min. grade C in both)
Scottish Highers: Normally BBBBB
International Bacc: 32 pts overall with 16 pts from best three HL courses
BTEC: Overall grades DDM
IELTS: 6.5
First year:
OWT.100/101 - Management and Organisations and two other Part I courses.
Second year:
Two courses are taken from each Department.
Organisation, Work and Technology - any two from:
OWT.222 - Social and Organisational Psychology
OWT.223 - Human Resource Management I
OWT.224 - Human Resource Management II
OWT.228 - The Changing Role and Context of Management
Sociology
SOCL 200 and SOCL 201 are compulsory.
Third year:
Organisation, Work and Technology - any two from (subject to prerequisites):
OWT.322 - Managing Human Resources
OWT.323 - Comparative and International HRM
OWT.325 - Management and Organisation: Contemporary approaches and controversies
Sociology
SOCL 300 is compulsory plus a research unit (half-unit or full unit) from the recommended list. Students will have another one or one-and-a-half units to choose freely from the Sociology list. It is expected that all joint majors students will study SOCL 312 in the years it is available.

Assessment
All students will be compulsorily assessed in all their second year courses, at the end of the year in which those courses are taken.
