BSc (Hons) Management & Information Technology (MIT)
The MIT programme is a three- or four-year full-time undergraduate programme. Rather than focusing purely on technical areas, the MIT degree provides the best mix of skills and knowledge for students who want exciting and challenging management or senior professional careers designing, developing and implementing technology solutions for businesses.
Business, people management, project management, and personal skills are as important as technical in this degree. The programme has been designed in partnership with business professionals from employers such as BT, CA, Ford, Fujitsu, HP, IBM, Deloitte, Morgan Stanley, Accenture and Unilever – ensuring course content is relevant to today’s and tomorrow’s business world.
As a student on the MIT programme you will:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of management and specifically of the management of IT-induced change.
Management and Information Technology student wins Deloitte prizeFinal-year undergraduate Eliot Wassell was awarded a £100 prize by top consulting firm Deloitte in 2011. The prize celebrated the first graduating cohort of the MIT degree.
- Develop conceptual and practical knowledge in the following areas: managing change, managing people, business analysis, managing information systems, software engineering and project management.
- Gain a combination of the business, interpersonal and technical skills considered vital by leading international companies.
