Dr Katy Mason, of the department of Marketing and the Centre for Strategic Management, has been awarded a fellowship from AIM - the Advanced Institute of Management Research.
Dr Mason's research interests focus on market orientation, the market‐oriented supply chain, supply chain configuration typologies and the mechanisms and process that cross organisational boundaries as firms attempt to co‐ordinate and manage their business networks.
Katy Mason is one of seven new AIM fellows appointed in 2009. With funding provided by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), the new AIM Fellows will be joining the existing cohorts researching productivity, innovation and services.
Research on management practices is at the core of AIM’s objectives. In its second phase AIM is highly focused on increasing the impact of management research on practice. AIM’s Deputy Director, Professor Andy Neely said: “In these times of severe economic challenge it is even more important that we develop and apply our understanding of the most effective and efficient practices in management and leadership”.
